Surge protection module for LED lighting, serial, 5kA, 277V AC, IP67

This type of module (also known as surge arrester), is designed for protection against overvoltage spikes and surges with commutation or atmospheric origin by grounding them. The module ensures additional protection and lowers the risk of serious damages and fire, even in extreme circumstances. The module covers the requirements of standard EN 61643-11:2011. It has a combined protection against voltage waves (1.2/50 μs) and current waves (8/20 μs). Used for local overvoltage protection. It is compatible with different electronic devices such as drivers, control gears and lighting sources. Very useful with LED street lighting. High ingress protection rate IP67.
